16-Year-Old Allegedly Rolling Coal In Ford Pickup Hits Multiple Cyclists In Texas

Written by admin

A 16-year-old driver of a Ford F-Series pickup truck is under investigation after striking six cyclists in Waller County, Texas while allegedly trying to roll coal.

Click 2 Houston reports that the accident happened just after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, September 25. A group of cyclists were traveling along U.S. Route 290 at the time while training for a local Ironman event.

Chase Ferrell was traveling behind the group of cyclists and told local media that the driver of the pickup was rolling coal across the cyclists, repeatedly accelerating and braking to blow black soot from the truck’s exhausts across the group.

“A kid in a black truck attempted to ‘roll coal’ us where they accelerate past blowing diesel exhaust on cyclists,” Ferrell said. “It made me mad, so I accelerated to try to catch up to him, so I could take a picture of his truck, take a picture of him or his license plate or something.”

Soon after, Ferrell says the 16-year-old driver of the Ford hit six of the cyclists. While the cyclists were treated at a local hospital and released, some of them suffered shoulder, back, and neck injuries and are expected to require follow-up surgeries.

“When I pulled up on the scene, I thought I was going to be pulling up to people that were dead,” Ferrell said. “It’s senseless. It doesn’t make any sense for anybody to do that to any cyclist… it’s pointless.”

Click 2 Houston states that the 16-year-old driver spoke to officers on the scene but was not arrested. Local police have confirmed this is indeed the case, stating that the accident is still under investigation.

Great Scott! Alleged Drunk Driver Inadvertently Reenacts Back To The Future DeLorean Scene

A driver near Omaha, Nebraska is facing DUI charges following an incident that led to a scene reminiscent of Back To The Future’s DeLorean time machine scene.

The flames were, ironically, created by a fire hydrant stuck under the driver’s car that he appears to have run over. Police say the hydrant punctured the car’s gas tank and sparks from it dragging along the ground ignited the trail of fire, per NBC subsidiary WOWT.

The driver dragged the hydrant for several blocks before parking his car, which suffered fire damage along with another car belonging to the driver’s relative. A neighbor’s yard was also scorched, damaging their sprinkler system.

Fortunately, no one appears to have suffered any injuries in the incident, but the driver is facing a litany of charges. Police say he tested more than two times over the legal blood alcohol limit and is facing his second DUI charge, as well as reckless driving and leaving the scene of a property damage crash.

“The ring cam and the different cameras out there are really helping us now,” Chief Deputy Sheriff Way Hudson told WOWT. “This is a prime example where we can show video evidence of how dangerous someone who is drinking and driving can be, how dangerous they can be.”

The incident took place on the night of Saturday, June 19. The Omaha Metropolitan Utilities District replaced the fire hydrant on Monday. Can’t help but feel that the driver wishes he was driving a DeLorean and could go back in time to stop himself from drinking and driving, though.

Rented Audi R8 Splits In Half After Hitting 13 Cars, Suspected Driver Posts Video On Social Media

A rented Audi R8 Spyder hit no less than 13 parked vehicles in the western Paris suburb Nanterre this past Sunday, with the German supercar cut in half and the driver reportedly on the run.

Thankfully the crash didn’t claim any victims and the Audi R8, which was rented for marriage together with a Porsche 911 according to Parisien, had the entire rear end torn off completely by the time it stopped hitting other cars.

The V10 powertrain ended up several yards away from the destroyed supercar and went up in flames after the crash.

The weird part of the story is about one of the videos that were posted on social media, shot by a shirtless man with his face uncovered in what looks like moments after the incident saying: “We folded it but everything is fine,” among other things (French-speaking readers, feel free to chime in).

The unnamed man was not present when police arrived at the scene of the accident, with authorities launching an investigation to determine who was seating behind the wheel of the German supercar at the time of the accident.

One of the area’s residents said that they’ve been hearing loud engine noises for some time before the accident, adding that the R8 was driven by more than one driver during the night of the accident. A police source confirmed this, saying that “the car passed from hand to hand. We need to identify the driver.”

At least five owners of vehicles involved in the crash have filed a complaint and the search for the driver of the rented Audi R8 continues.

Dutch Police Find Stolen Ferrari Mondial Sitting In A Canal For Nearly Three Decades

Written by admin

A 1987 Ferrari Mondial that was stolen in the Netherlands back in 1994 has been recovered after potentially spending as long as 26 years in one of the city’s many waterways.

Local media reports that the Mondial was first found by Dutch fire brigade divers on a training exercise in Amsterdam’s IJ waterway in June. Police were notified of the strange discovery on June 17 and they organized their own dive on June 29. After encountering some issues in recovering the vehicle, the Ministry of Defense was called in to provide assistance and on July 8, the Italian sports car was pulled up from the waterway.

Before long, authorities were able to determine that this was the missing Mondial from the 1994 case. What they haven’t been able to determine is just how long the Ferrari was at the bottom of the waterway. Regardless of whether or not it has been there for the full 26 years it has been missing, it has been utterly destroyed and rusted by the water.

Police were not able to find any evidence in the vehicle that could point them towards the perpetrators but did conclude that no violent crime had occurred within the vehicle. The car was then handed over to its insurer and placed in a scrapyard.

In a statement issued to The Drive, the scrapyard said it has put the Mondial up for display because of all the interest in it.

“We have put the car for display at our company for now. There is a lot of interest in the car. Both complete and for parts. The thing is that we are not allowed to sell the car complete. However, when it could go to a museum, the government will make an exception, and allows us to sell the car complete. When [sic] we can’t find a museum willing to display the car, we are forced to dismantle the car in parts. Most parts can’t be used on a other car, but a lot of collectors are willing to buy parts for collectables, or to transform them into furniture. Like the engine, they want to fix up and turn it into a table with a glass plate on top of it.”
