No, You’re Aren’t Seeing Double; This Is An Extra Wide 1994 Ram 3500

This is a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 but do you notice something a little different with it? Well, this 3500 has been widened by a foot, making an already big and imposing pickup truck even more massive.

The bizarre truck is currently up for sale on Craigslist in Spokane Valley, Washington and according to the seller, more than 1,400 hours of work were put into it. The listing doesn’t detail how the 3500 was widened but we can’t imagine it was particularly easy.

The extra width is immediately obvious from the front end where the grilles of the truck are much wider than standard. A two-piece windshield has also been fitted and located directly behind the cabin is a truly big bed, likely larger than any other pickup currently on sale.

Various interior modifications have also been made. For example, there is now an absolutely massive center console wrapped in leather. The cabin has also been equipped with a TV screen in the rear.

In terms of mechanicals, the truck is powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins diesel V8 coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that the truck has a solid front axle with link-coil suspension, a solid rear axle with longitudinal leaf springs, a stainless steel exhaust system, front stabilizer bar, heavy-duty shocks, and a 35-gallon fuel tank.

The truck has been listed for $31,999. That’s quite a lot of money, but isn’t entirely unreasonable given all the work performed on the vehicle.

Horse & Buggy Wheels On A Dodge Challenger Hellcat? This Should Be Interesting

YouTuber WhistlinDiesel is certainly no stranger to doing insane things with their vehicles, and this is no different, as they managed to get the wheels from a horse and buggy and fit them onto a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

They got the custom wheels from a specialty shop, and welded hubs onto them to get them to fit on the Challenger. They mention that they’ve tried this on their truck before with wooden wheels, so they figure that these aluminum ones can both hold the weight of the Challenger, as well as withstand its 707 horsepower.

They then jack it up, and fit the buggy wheels on, along with some massive spacers to clear the wheel wells. After the installation, they fire up the Hellcat, and we must say, it’s quite comical to hear that kind of noise come out of a car that now looks like it has rubber bands for tires. The wheels are actually so thin that the fronts stay locked as the car drives out onto the snowy driveway, and the rears manage to break traction at just a touch above idle.

After a few minutes of laughter, the guys decide to take the car out for a spin. They hit up a bunch of different places, such as an auto parts store, a drive-through, and even a Dodge dealership to see people’s reaction to their creation, and to no one’s surprise, there are plenty of onlookers.

At around the 11 minute 10 second mark, we get to what we’ve all been waiting for: the buggy-wheeled burnout. Before they begin, they turn off traction control, although we don’t think it would do much even if left on. Predictably, the Hellcat effortlessly overpowers the narrow wheels, leaving plumes of smoke and pencil-width tire tracks in its wake. In less than 2 minutes of somewhat light tire-spinning, they strip the wheels down to just metal, and eventually call it quits after realizing they’ve sawed their way through the asphalt.

Carroll Shelby’s Personal Dodge Omni GLHS Could Fetch Up To $75,000

The Dodge Omni might not, on its face, look like a particularly interesting car. But this one has layers of rarity and intrigue, which explains why it’s estimated to sell at auction for $50,000 to $75,000.

Although there aren’t that many left on the road today, the Omni was Dodge’s little hatchback runabout. Part of Lee Iacocca’s legendary turnaround of the company, by the mid ’80s the brand was looking to inject a little spice into lineup.

Naturally, the creator of the Mustang decided to turn to his old pal Carroll Shelby. Inspired by the success of the Golf GTI, Dodge wanted to make a competitor. Thus, they shipped the car off to Shelby, who added some performance and called it the GLH, which is short for Goes Like Hell.

This, though, is a GLHS, which adds “s’more” to the whole package. Limited to just 500 units, it features a pumped 2.2-liter single overhead cam engine making 175 hp. That might not sound like much by today’s standards, but at the time, the Golf GTI only made about 105 hp in the U.S. Due to its power and relatively low weight (remember, these were the ’80s), Shelby’s Omni could hit 60 mph in just 6.5 seconds, which is as fast as a 2002 Golf GTI.

It could also reach 130 mph (209 km/h), had a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and was shod in Goodyear Gatorback VR-rated tires to help it handle. It performed well enough that Shelby wanted one of his own.

This one, no. 86 of 500, belongs to the Carroll Hall Shelby Trust. It has the original paint, retains all of its original stickers, and has fewer than 8,200 original miles on the odometer.

So, even though the Omni might not look like the most exciting car in the world, hopefully you can see why this one in particular might fetch a pretty penny at the auction. The lot is part of Mecum’s Kissimmee auction, being held from January 7 through the 16th.

Watch Houston Police Chase Dodge Charger SRT From Rowdy Texas Car Meet

Dramatic vision has emerged out of Houston, Texas, showing police chasing a gold-colored Dodge Charger SRT 392 that was attending a car meet.

The clip was filmed on August 2 and the meet featured all kinds of cars, as well as motorcycles and quadbikes, performing burnouts and donuts in an empty parking lot. It appears local rapper Rizzoo Rizzoo was also filming a music video at the time.

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long before police arrived on the scene and started flashing their lights and sirens, perhaps in an attempt to disperse the crowd. At one stage in the video, the driver of a 2016 Charger SRT 392 gets tailed by a Ford Explorer Police Interceptor and promptly gives it a bootful, kicking out the tail of the Charger and appearing to really irritate the police. Drone footage also shows the Charger coming within inches of striking one of two police vehicles.

The police give chase and the Charger speeds out of the parking lot and onto the nearby streets. At one stage, the Dodge driver can be driving down the wrong side of the road in his attempts to flee with no less than four police vehicles in pursuit and smoke appearing to bellow out from the passenger side front wheel.

While the title of the video asserts that the driver of the Charger outran the police, many people in the comments claim he was caught. Some also state that the man’s car was seized and impounded.

The owner of the Charger appears to be quite well known in the Houston car scene and has an Instagram page under the name ‘Powered by SRT Houston‘, with over 4,000 followers where he posts pictures of the car, including videos of him doing donuts in public with not much regard to the safety of those around him. In February, he posted a video on YouTube showing dozens of vehicles street racing through Houston (below).
