An Unfinished Lamborghini Diablo Replica Is One Way To Blow $30,000

Written by admin

The internet loves to make fun of Lamborghini replicas but to be fair, while most don’t make any sense whatsoever, there are a few that look decent for their price. Although we often come across finished examples of replicas based on quite humble underpinnings, we found a different kind of kit on a Facebook marketplace ad.

This 1998 Lamborghini Diablo replica not only is pretty expensive, but it also requires a lot of time, effort and money from the prospective buyer in order to become roadworthy.

The project car is based on a custom tubular chassis that is claimed to be compatible with a mid-mounted BMW V12 engine which sounds like a good choice for a replica – on paper, of course, until you enter the wonderful world of maintaining and troubleshooting 1990s German engineering. The powertrain doesn’t come with the chassis so whoever buys this thing will have to not only source one but also find out if it fits by themselves.

Despite not having an engine, the vehicle comes with a number of mechanical components including Corvette C5 suspension arms, Corvette C7 rear brakes, Chevrolet Camaro electric power steering rack, an Alfa Romeo steering column, Subaru pedal set, and an supposedly, an Aventador-sourced drive-by-wire gas pedal.

Due to the fact that this replica is not based on an existing car’s chassis, its body panels are said to be precise copies of the original in terms of shape and size. According to the listing, all panels are included besides the front trunk. In fact, the front fenders made of carbon fiber come from an original Diablo, as are the Nissan-sourced headlights. There are also some parts from FGP including a Diablo GTR bonnet and side sills, plus an interior kit mimicking the design of the original – minus the seats and the upholstery, though…

You can tell for yourself that the car needs tons of parts and even more work to put it all together. The seller is asking for $30,000, which sounds like too much for a vehicle in this condition, but he is also open to offers. For anyone that is interested, the body is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Take A Look Inside The First 3,945 HP Lamborghini Yacht

Written by admin

The coolest Lamborghini doesn’t have wheels as the first Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 has been delivered to its wealthy owner.

Originally announced last summer, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is a luxurious motoryacht that draws inspiration from the Sián FKP 37.

The yacht’s styling was jointly developed by the two companies and it features a streamlined exterior with angular accents as well as distinctive bow lights that pay tribute to the Terzo Millennio concept. The model also features a “supersport silhouette” as well as a hard top inspired by Lamborghini’s roadsters as it “guarantees not only protection from the sun and wind, but also surprising aerodynamic performance.”

While the exterior is undeniably cool, the cabin is fit for a Bond villain. Starting with the automotive-inspired cockpit, there’s a dual screen digital instrument cluster with a carbon fiber surround. Boaters will also find a car-like steering wheel, a carbon fiber shelled captain’s seat and two start/stop buttons shared with Lamborghini sport cars.

Elsewhere, there’s a stylish bedroom with a skylight and multi-colored upholstery similar to what’s found in Lamborghini models. The bedroom also features two couches as well as a flat screen television.

The yacht also features a minimalist bathroom as well as a second bedroom with two individual beds. Furthermore, in typical Lamborghini fashion, there’s an Ad Personam program which enables customers to select their material and color choices.

The connection to the automaker extends beyond styling as the yacht utilizes carbon fiber and is powered by two V12 engines. The latter have a combined output of 3,945 hp (2,942 kW / 4,000 PS) and enable the model to hit a top speed of 60 knots (69 mph / 111 km/h). The yacht also has a range of approximately 210 nautical miles (389 km) at its 40 knot (47 mph / 75 km/h) cruising speed.

Moleskine Unveils New Lamborghini Notebook, For The Poetic Supercar Owner

Written by admin

My own personal stereotype about a Lamborghini owner is that they don’t have many thoughts worth writing down, but here to bust my prejudices is the latest collaboration between the supercar manufacturer and Moleskine.

Famed for its simple, sturdy, portable notebooks, Moleskine has been a favorite brand of writers everywhere and this partnership with Lamborghini has seen it turn to artist Emiliano Ponzi for their latest creation.

The artist is known for his bold, textured artwork that mixes strong graphic composition with an economy of lines. Ponzi has been featured in publications, books, and newspapers working with clients like The New York Times, Le Monde, The New Yorker, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Der Spiegel.

“It’s about sensations,” says Ponzi. “And I thought, okay, I want to transfer to the audience the beautiful and fulfilling sensation of driving a Lamborghini.”

The illustration he ultimately designed for the Lamborghini notebook spans the outside and inside covers and tells the story of a Lamborghini Huracan EVO on a journey that starts in the city, drives through the country, and ends with a beautiful sunset.

“This creative endeavor aims to highlight the poetic, metaphysical aspect of the dreams and emotions associated with driving, owning and being accompanied by a Lamborghini, giving a logical order to a unique story,” writes the automaker. “The Lamborghini provides the color in both dream journeys and real ones, in the context of open spaces and urban settings.”

If you’re feeling inspired by this journey and the endless possibilities promised by an empty notebook, you can pick one of these Moleskines up at Lamborghini dealers, at the company’s boutique in Sant’Agatha Bolognese, or on its online store starting this month.

Lamborghini Huracan STO Is Being Tested At The Nurburgring

Written by admin

Prior to the Lamborghini Huracan Performante being unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Italian car manufacturer revealed that it had lapped the Nurburgring in a jaw-dropping 6:52.01, a production car lap record at the time.

In the time since the Performante’s launch, the Huracan range has been facelifted and is now topped out by the STO. Curiously, Lamborghini has made no mention of a Nurburgring lap time with the Huracan STO in the six months since its unveiling but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been testing the hardcore model at the famed circuit.

During a recent industry pool session at ‘Ring, a Huracan STO wearing a black and yellow paint scheme was spotted completing a series of laps. While most of the laps were performed at relatively slow speeds and in wet or damp conditions, it’s clear the Lamborghini is fine-tuning the car’s on track performance before customer deliveries begin. Will it look to set a flying lap of the Nurburgring with it? We will just have to wait and see.

Like the Huracan Evo, the STO is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 pumping out 631 hp and 417 lb-ft (565 Nm), all of which is sent through the rear wheels. The car weighs 95 lbs (43 kg) less than the Performante and has been fitted with a host of bold new aerodynamic components inspired by the Squadra Corse race car, including flared arches, a towering rear wing and a unique diffuser.

Battle Of The V10s: Audi R8 Spyder Drag Races Lamborghini Huracan

Written by admin

The Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan may share platforms and engines, but does that mean they have similar performance? YouTube channel Lovecars decided to find out by having the two face each other in a drag race.

Both the R8 and the Huracan are powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 602 hp (610 PS / 449 kW). The Audi has 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque compared to the Lamborghini’s 413 lb-ft (560 Nm), and both cars come with all-wheel drive, ensuring their launches will be sufficiently quick.

That being said, whereas the R8 Spyder is rated at 3,900 lbs (1,770 kg), the Huracan is almost 500 lbs (227 kg) lighter, at 3,423 lbs (1,553 kg).

Moving on to the actual race, the R8 experiences somewhat of a stutter off the line, while the the Huracan wastes no time setting off. Thanks to the drone shots from above the runway, we get to see the Huracan take a considerable lead right off the bat, pulling a few car lengths ahead of the Audi before the race is even halfway done.

Unsurprisingly, the Huracan prevails, crossing the finish line in just 11.38 seconds at 115.1 mph (185.2 km/h), with the R8 Spyder coming in 0.39 seconds behind, running an 11.77 second time at 114.5 mph (184.3 km/h). However, it’s worth mentioning that these results could have been slightly different had the R8 gotten a better launch.

Bespoke Lamborghini Aventador S Gets New Attire From Fashion Designer

Written by admin

Lamborghini is celebrating the opening of ‘The Lounge Tokyo’ in Japan, the second venue after the one in New York featuring a permanent Ad Personam studio for customers to customize their Raging Bulls, with a bespoke Aventador S.

Bearing the signature of renowned fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, the supercar was treated as a blank canvas and takes inspiration from the Paris collection, dressed with selected clothing patterns.

Review: New Lamborghini Aventador S May Not Be The Most Engaging But Who Cares

The one-off Lamborghini Aventador S was created by the Lamborghini Centro Stile, with the blessing of the company’s design chief Mitja Borkert, who met Yamamoto at the Paris Fashion Week in January 2020. This unique Aventador sports different shades of red on the outside, contrasted by the white and black accents. The interior follows a similar route, with the artists’ signature found on the dashboard, central console, door cards, seats, and even on the firewall.

“It has been exciting to have the chance to work with Yohji Yamamoto, the world-renowned fashion icon, who innately understood our significant Lamborghini design DNA”, said Borkert. “Our collaboration inspired this outstanding artwork and design for the Aventador S, which was unveiled today, and celebrates Italian craftsmanship connecting with Japanese culture.”

The unique Aventador S remains untouched beneath the skin, which means that the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine still churns out 730 HP (740 PS / 544 kW) at 8,400 rpm and 507 lb-ft (690 Nm) of torque at 5,500 rpm, driving all four wheels via the 7-speed gearbox. The stock exotic takes 2.9 seconds to sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) and maxes out at 217 mph (350 km/h).

McLaren 720S, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 812 And Ferrari 488 Pista Engage In Battle Royale

Written by admin

Supercars are getting ever faster and the cars featured in this particular clip all offer truly frightening levels of acceleration. However, which of them is the fastest?

To find out, YouTuber 888MF teamed up with BOTB in the UK for a series of drag races. The cars featured are a pair of McLaren 720S’ (one fitted with an aftermarket exhaust), a Ferrari 488 Pista, a Lamborghini Huracan Performante, and a Ferrari 812 Superfast.

Kicking things off is a race between the Lamborghini and the 488 Pista. Thanks to its all-wheel drive system, the Huracan gets off the line quicker but because it has less power, the Ferrari storms past it before the finish line.

In the second race, the victorious 488 Pista lines up against the 812 Superfast and, despite being one tier lower in Ferrari’s hierarchy, the twin-turbocharged V8 488 out-accelerated the V12-powered grand tourer.

Then it was the turn of the McLarens, which lined up alongside each other and the 488 Pista for a battle of supremacy. During both races, the owner of the 720S with the aftermarket exhaust rocketed off the line much quicker than his rivals and came out the victor.

However, things don’t end there as a surprise competitor then joins the party in the form of a Porsche Taycan Turbo S. The all-electric super saloon has established itself as one of the most accelerative vehicles on the planet and can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in under 2.5 seconds. The question is, is that enough to upstage the 720S?
